Every year on New Year's Eve, inside of Shiroishi Castle, the "Bell Ringing Event" is held where citizens can also join and ring the bell. Apart from the bell, Shiroishi Castle's tower will be open during dawn allowing citizens to come and participate in the new year's sunrise prayer ceremony.
